Hiking and cycling are the most frequent activities within the park. The cycle routes extend over 150 km roads and pathways, some of them asphalted, but mostly the paths are made from gravel, some of them are arranged for cycling.

The main destinations (the lake Divje jezero, Idrijska Bela and Klavže as well ...) are passable and appropriate for any recreational cyclist. The remaining routes demand better preparations and endurance considering that they are made up of vast distances and the terrain is extremely harsh due to the asent and there are worse pathways in some areas.

If you wish to see the park in all its beauty and visit even the almost inaccessible parts, then you have to get there on foot. Sometimes there is no other option but to go on foot. Provided that you wish to begin your journey on foot, you will need to access starting points by car or bicycle due to the area being so vast.

In Strug one can also notice a climbing wall and a climbing playground with some easy-to-conquer routes. Otherwise, most of them are quite difficult and the rock wall does not cease to lure people into the areas which have not yet been climbed over.
