In the large sinkhole under Golaki, at the utmost Northern part of plateau Trnovska planota lies the Bukov vrh forest reserve.

At an altitude of 1300 m and the size of 9 hectares it extends over the karstic highlands and with its unexploited nature prompts the botanists, foresters and other natural scientists to begin exploring. Here the forest and entire area remain intact. The springs under the treetops of massive one-hundred-year-old trees are fighting for their share of sunrays which would enable them to fully evolve and when their time has passed according to the laws of nature, they putrefy and deteriorate.
