Hudo polje is a small plain located a few metres below the pass at the watershed of Belca and Trebuša. It lies next to the Vojsko-Lokve road at an altitude of 1030 m.

Under the walls it takes on a shape of typical glacial corrie and the rest is a rounded field over the moraine dams of the last ice age. The glacial layers are especially visible here. The tiny rubble and larger rock chunks were influenced by glacial movement and thus carried upwards to Golaki. In the direction of the Southwest the precipitous cliffs of Sončni rob close up to Hudo polje. Sončni rob is the very last hillside of plateau Trnovska planota and one of the most fascinating parts of the park in terms of botany. Here we can find all at once the three primroses and some alpine species, considering that the climate conditions and micro location make it possible for them to continue to exist.

Beneath the Sončni rob and Hudo polje we can also take notice of moraine dams, the legacy of the ice age in these parts of the land. In the park we can also find deep karst, where the focus is on the lake Divje jezero, whereas in the Western part, we can come across the more isolated karst with small pits, sinkholes and other karstic phenomena.
