The Idrijca Valley from Lajšt to its spring is wide enough at first to allow the road along its riverbed, however, in the upper parts it ascends high above the riverbed dut do steep slopes and precipitous cliffs. It reaches its highest point at the almost impassable gorge Kramarš’ca. The water is clear, full of crayfish and brook trout with riotous and picturesque nature all around. Steep riverbanks, torrential ravines and areas with difficult access all serve as protection for a diverse animal world. High above the confluence klavže on the Idrijca river are located and behind them one can run into the tourist farm where the klavže caretakers used to live. |
