Due to the location of the natural park which stretches between the Eastern Alps and the Dinaric Alps and seeing the climatic impacts of the Mediterranean and Atlantic air masses which can be felt, the natural features of this region tend to be extremely versatile.

The rugged terrain, great altitude difference within the park and last but not least the human’s environmentally conscious attitude in the past contribute to the exuberance of this natural habitat.
